This is Gibson's GEM Series Les Paul Studio GEM, 1997, which was available in the jewel name coloring and gold hardware.

The basic concept of Les Paul was retained in the Studio, but with simple decorations such as eliminating the neck binding and adopting a decal logo. Maple top and mahogany back, mahogany neck with rose fingerboard, 628mm (24.75") scale/254mm (10") R/42.9mm nut, PU with P-90 soap bar, and "GEM SERIES" decal on the back of head.

This is a royal Les Paul sounding and gorgeous looking studio, with a core tone from the P-90 pickups.

Pickguard is missing, rear Vol/pegs have been replaced, front Tone knob does not go all the way in and is high. Overall, there are signs of use (scratches, paint chips, and paint damage on the outside of the body, bumps on the head top veneer joints, paint peeling off the sides of the fingerboard, ring marks on the back of the neck, scuffs and wipe marks, picking marks, buckle marks, cracks inside the knobs, metal parts are faded, cloudy, bits and rust, etc.).

The fret board has been set up (cleaning, string replacement, rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment) upon arrival, the fret board is high enough to play, and the truss rod can be adjusted to ±60° in both tightening and loosening directions.

レスポールの基本コンセプトはそのままに、ネックバインディングを排し、デカールロゴを採用する等のシンプルな装飾が特徴のスタジオ。メイプルトップにマホガニーバック、マホガニーネックにローズ指板、628mm (24.75")スケール/254mm (10")R/42.9mmナット、PUはP-90・ソープバーを搭載、ヘッド裏に「GEM SERIES」のデカールが施されています。

王道レスポールサウンドと豪華なルックスのスタジオ、P-90ピックアップで芯のあるトーンが特徴の一本です。

ピックガード欠品、リアVol/ペグ交換、フロントToneノブが奥まで入らず高さがあります。全体的に使用感(ボディ外周に当てキズ・塗装チップ・塗装ダメージ、ヘッドトップ突板合わせ目に段差、指板脇の塗装剥がれ、ネック裏指輪痕、スレや拭きスジ、ピッキング痕、バックル痕、ノブ内部亀裂、金属パーツの色落ち・曇り・ビッツ・サビ、等々)が見られます。

入荷時にセットアップ(クリーニング・弦交換・ロッド調整・オクターブ調整・弦高調整)済み、フレット山は演奏に問題ない高さがあり、トラスロッドは締める方向・緩める方向調整可能で±60°まで動作確認済みです。
