Sadowsky Guitars, located in Long Island, New York, has been supported by many famous musicians.
Roger Sadowsky, who had earned an early reputation for his excellent repair and modification techniques, gained even more credibility by providing musicians with modifications of F basses.

However, from the 1980s onward, as the vintage market skyrocketed, the cost was no longer worth it for the working musician.
In response, he decided that it made more sense to build an instrument from scratch, incorporating all the improvements he valued, and this is how his current style began.

Roger is a big believer in listening to the requests of the musician.
Many of the improvements made to Sadowsky products are the result of musicians' requests.

The single-cut model is a body design in which the cutaway on the 5th string is jointed near the 13th fret, and was developed in collaboration with Chip Shearin, who uses single-cut models from other makers. The cutaway of the 5-24 model is directly attached to the neck.
This allows for a smooth transition from one bass to another despite the single cutaway.
The excellent neck joint shape of the Germany model has a 6-point stop, which is a slight change from the NYC model, but it does not affect the playability of the bass.
The single-cut neck joint has a good pitch and bass tone with a long sustain, and is recommended for those who value the sound and presence of the 5-string.
The German-made model features a chambered body, as in NYC, which is lightweight and comfortable to play even on long stages!

Ash body, Maple fretboard, Hum-cancelling J-Style pickups, and the familiar mid-boost circuit of the Will Lee Model.
The mid-boost circuit has a mini-switch on the back panel and a trim pot that allows you to set four frequency settings: 500Hz and 800Hz with two bandwidths, the amount of mid-boost, and the output volume at mid-boost.

This model is a sophisticated instrument that is easy to play, durable, and sounds great enough to satisfy the needs of players in the field.
