This is an American Selmer tenor saxophone, Mark 6. It is serial number 210,000 and was manufactured around 1972. It appears to have been relacquered once, but now the lacquer is almost completely removed and it appears to be in no lacquer condition. Also, the thumb hook has been replaced and is now integrated with the body like the SBA. In addition, the neck has been replaced with an Amesel Mark 6 120,000 series, and the ball joints of the side C and B♭ levers have been partially replaced, showing the previous owner's attention to detail throughout. It has been well-blown, and with a slightly light and edgy sound typical of late Mark 6s, and a smooth blowing feel with good ringing and response, it is one that will be an instant success.

アメリカンセルマーのテナーサックス、マーク6です。シリアルナンバー21万番台、1972年頃製造の個体です。一度リラッカーされているように思われますが、現在はラッカーはほとんど剥がれておりノーラッカーのような状態です。また、サムフックが交換されており、SBAのような本体と一体型になっています。その他、ネックがアメセルマーク6の12万番台に交換されていたり、サイドC・B♭レバーのボールジョイント部が一部取り替えられているなど、随所に前オーナー様のこだわりが感じられます。よく吹き込まれており、後期マーク6らしいやや軽めでエッジ感のあるサウンド、鳴りやレスポンスも良くスムーズな吹奏感で即戦力になる一本だと思います。
