Axis EX," made in Japan and using USA parts, is in stock in used condition and popular for its cost performance!
It is a modification of the EVH style! We judged it to be manufactured around 1997 from the notation (71107-3T) on the neck pocket.

The quilted maple top looks like the waves lapping on the beach, the basswood body, and the satin-finished bird's eye maple neck make this guitar look like a MUSICMAN, which is sure to satisfy even the biggest fans of AXIS.

The small body shape is unique to AXIS with excellent playability, and the characteristic asymmetrical neck grip is thicker on the 6th string side. The grip is coated with oil satin paint, which gives the guitar a stress-free playability and a sense of security even on long stages.

The Schaller pegs, direct-mount DiMarzio humbuckers, and other brawny assembly features give the guitar a clear, edgy sound with extended sustain that does not collapse even under heavy distortion. The simple controls do not leave anything to be desired.

This is a signature model, but it has been loved as a regular model for many years.

Condition
There are many scratches and dents on the entire body, as well as the blackened satin paint on the neck, which is characteristic of satin paint.

Also, there are many modification parts as follows.

There is a "5150" sticker on the top of the body.
D-tuna has been retrofitted.
The strap pins have been replaced with heatons. Special EVH leather strap is included.
Rear pickup was broken at the time of arrival, so the white bobbin side has been rewound with new wire.
The bridge anchor stud and lock nut have been replaced.

浜辺の波打ち際の様なキルトメイプルトップにバスウッドボディ、ネックにはサテン仕上げのバーズアイメイプルを採用し、これぞMUSICMANと思わせてくれる、AXISの大ファンも納得の一本。

AXIS独特の演奏性に優れた小柄なボディシェイプに、6弦側が太い左右非対称な特徴的なネックグリップ。さらにグリップ部のみオイルサテン塗装が施され、ロングステージにも安心感のある、ストレスのない演奏性が魅力です。

Schallerペグ、ダイレクトマウントのDiMarzio製ハムバッカーなど骨太なアッセンブリ選定で、激しいディストーションでも潰れないエッジの効いた明瞭なサウンドに伸びやかなサスティーン。シンプルなコントロールながら物足りなさを感じません。

コンディション
ネック部にサテン塗装特有の黒ずみの他、ボディ全体的に細かなスリキズや打痕が多数点在し、製造年相応の使用感がございます。

また下記の通り交換(改造)箇所が多くございます。

・ボディトップに「5150」ステッカーが貼られております。
・D-tunaが後付けされております。
・ストラップピンがヒートンへ交換。専用のEVHレザーストラップが付属いたします。
・入荷時リアピックアップが断線していたため、白いボビン側を新たな線材で巻き直しております。
・ブリッジアンカースタッド、ロックナットが交換されております。

また入荷時、当社リペアセンターにて全体調整とフレットすり合わせをしておりますので、安心してお使いいただけます。
