Early 1970's ES-175D is now in stock.

The ES-175 is a jazz guitarist's favorite.
This early 1970s model features a bright sunburst.

Laminated maple body and 3-piece mahogany neck.
Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with split inlays.
The neck is an original '69 without volute, with a '70 body, shipped in the early '70s.
We inspected it with a black light and there is nothing unnatural in the paint and it remains original in good condition.

Two Steckard-numbered PAF pickups are mounted.
The control pots are in a metal case and are soldered, so the pot dates have not been checked, but they have probably not been replaced.
The knobs are the sombrero knobs used in this period, but only the rear tone has been replaced with a non-original metal plate.

The label inside the hole is a black/white/purple square type, and the tailpiece shape is a chrome trapeze type swing tailpiece with a pointed right and left bridge and three square quadrilateral reliefs in a row, which is a specification after 1970.

There are some minor scratches and dings scattered throughout, and the binding on the cutaway portion of the body back has a small gap, but considering the age of the instrument, it is still in beautiful condition.
The frets are original, with about 50% remaining.
The truss rod has been checked to 90 degrees left and right.
The pickguard has been replaced.

This is a full acoustic, but it has a clear tone, and the bass is clear without being muddy.
The ES-175 is often used for jazz, but Steve Howe of YES and many other rock guitarists also love this instrument, and it can be used for a wide range of styles.
This is one to try for guitarists who are looking for a full-acoustic sound with a lot of body!

ジャズギタリスト御用達のES-175。
明るいサンバーストが特徴的な1970年代初期のモデルです。

ラミネートメイプルボディに3ピースマホガニーネック。
スプリットインレイが美しいローズウッド指板の仕様
ネックはボリュート無しの69年製のものに、70年のボディをセットして70年代前半に出荷されたオリジナル。
ブラックライトにて検品しましたが塗装にも不自然な点は無く、状態の良いオリジナルを保っております。

ピックアップにはステッカードナンバードPAFを2基搭載。
コントロールポットは金属製のケースに収納されており半田付けされている為、ポットデイトは未確認ですが恐らく交換はされていないと思われ、ジャックも金属製のケースに収納されております。
ノブはこの年代に使用されていたソンブレロ・ノブですが、リアトーンのみノンオリジナルのメタルプレート付きに交換されております。

ホール内のラベルは黒/白/紫のスクエア型となっており、テールピース形状はトラピーズ型のブランコテールピースのクロームで、受け部分の左右が尖っており、平方四辺形のレリーフが3つ並んでいる70年以降の仕様です。

全体的に細かい擦り傷や打痕が散在しており、ボディバックのカッタウェイ部分のバインディングに少し隙間が出ておりますが、年代を考えるときれいな状態を保っております。
フレットはオリジナルで、残りは5割ほど。
トラスロッドは左右90°まで確認済みです。
ピックガードが交換されております。

フルアコですが、明瞭なトーンで低音もこもることなくクリアなサウンドを奏でます。
ジャズで使用されることが多いES-175ですが、YESのスティーブ・ハウをはじめとした様々なロックギタリストにも愛用されており幅広いスタイルにご活用頂けます。
