We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 1962 Gretsch #6119 Chet Atkins Tennessean.

Although the specifications of Tennessean have been changed in detail, this model is characterized by its thin body, serial engraving on the tip of the head, simulated f-holes without edging, and zero frets, which are relatively early specifications after 1961, when two pickups were introduced.

There are some electrical replacement points, but this is a highly original instrument.
The original high-low TRON pickups give it a mellow to twangy tone.

As is usual with old Gretsch guitars, the binding on both the neck and body is deteriorated.
Pot (x3) and selector switch (x1) have been replaced.
Original pots (dated 1962) and selector switch are included.

細かく仕様変更が行われるテネシアンですが、本機は薄めのボディにヘッド先端のシリアル刻印、縁取りなしのシミュレイテッドFホール、0フレットなど、2ピックアップ仕様となる1961年以降では、比較的初期のスペックが特徴となります。

電装系に交換点がございますが、オリジナル度の高い一本。
オリジナルのハイロートロン・ピックアップによるメロウなサウンドからトゥワンギーなトーンが味わえます。

オールドのGretschにはつきものですが、ネック、ボディ共にバインディングの劣化が見受けられます。
ポット(×3)、セレクター・スイッチ(×1)交換あり。
オリジナルのポット(1962年デイト)とセレクター・スイッチも付属致します。
