Rare Gretsch acoustic guitar "SIERRA" is in stock.
This guitar was originally called the "Synchromatic X75F" before it became the "SIERRA" model, but was renamed the "SIERRA" model for a short period between 1949 and 1955.
Spruce body top, maple sides and back, 16" thin jumbo body with ladder bracing, rosewood fingerboard and block inlays, Gretsch acoustic triangular sound hole, and the characteristic trapeze bridge. The distinctive trapeze bridge is mounted with a string metal anchor, and both the look and sound of this guitar are different from the rest.
Inside the soundhole, "1001" and a number that appears to be a serial number are handwritten in pencil on the backwoods, and the numbering suggests that this is a first year model, but details are unknown.
The neck has been reset, the bridge glued, the nut and saddle replaced, and other parts that require replacement due to age have been replaced.
