Fender Stratocaster made in 1972 is now in stock.

The Fender Stratocaster was born in the 1950s and has been loved by many musicians around the world.

This 1972 Fender Stratocaster was made after Fender was acquired by CBS. The large head has a truss rod adjustable bullet from the head side.
The neck plate has a three-point fastening, and there are many other differences from the Fenders of the 1950s through the mid-1960s.
Many Fenders from the 1970s used ash wood for the body, but this one uses alder.

The neck date is stamped 22DEC72B, indicating that this is a B neck made on December 22, 1972.

All pickups are gray bobbins. The date is "185172" front/rear. The center is "275172" and all are definitely original from 1972.

Selector is a 3-way type with CRL 1452 engraved. The capacitor is a Circle D.
The pot date is not discernible due to solder only on the volume, but both tones were made in 1972. The center tone is stamped "MEXICO".
It seems that CTS had a factory in Mexico during this period, so these parts are a little rare.

The bridge is a die-cast type with the plate and block in one piece. The bridge is a die-cast type with the plate and block in one piece.

The pegs are all Fender F-key, but there is one hole on the 4th string peg and no holes on the other pegs, so it may have been drilled at the factory during the manufacturing process.

The nut has been replaced from the original and the frets have been refretted.
There is some paint on the frets and it is possible that the entire neck has been over-lacquered.
There is a spacer attached to the neck pocket on the body side to prevent the neck from moving.

The overall condition of the instrument remains good with necessary repairs for long use.
The burnt white paint and exposed wood give it a truly sublime vintage look. It is a superbly aged piece that even has a sense of elegance.

Weighing only 3.38kg, it is quite lightweight! The fusion of the honest sound of alder and the trebly sound of the 70's is so comfortable that you will want to play this guitar forever.

It is an Olympic White with the popular Alder body. Why not pick it up as a one-of-a-kind instrument?
