The 2018 Gibson Historic Collection 1958 Explorer is now in stock.

The Historic Collection is a series of reissues of famous historical instruments, produced by the Gibson Custom Shop, and is the pinnacle of the lineup.
The model we have just received was produced based on the 1958 Explorer. The characteristic shape of the body, which has been partially cut off, has been designed to the specifications of "that guy" who is familiar to fans.

The famous EXPLORER was born in 1958. The first model was made of the rare Corinna wood, and the price is now over several million dollars because of the small number of originals produced.
This special one was made in 2018, the 60th anniversary year of the EXPLORER's birth.

The body and neck are made of high-quality mahogany. Rosewood was chosen for the fingerboard.
The neck shape is a fat neck typical of the 50s.

The finish is not VOS or Aged, but "Heavy Aged". The body and neck are made to look as if they have been used and abused for many years.

Both front and rear pickups have been changed to Seymour Duncan SH-1 (59). The playing condition is very good and can be used immediately.

The cherry color is one of the few produced and is very valuable. This is a special guitar commemorating the 60th anniversary of the historical masterpiece.
This is a very attractive guitar even if you are not a fan of the man himself, so please contact us as soon as possible if you are interested.

A Certificate of Authenticity, Pre-Check List with date and model name (8/29/18), and a certificate of hand-selection are included.

"歴史的名器の復刻シリーズ"としてギブソン･カスタムショップにて製作される、徹底的に拘った最高峰ラインナップとして展開されるヒストリック･コレクション。
入荷したモデルは1958年製Explorerをモチーフに制作。 ボディーの一部をカットした特徴的なシェイプはファンにはお馴染みな"あの方"仕様となっています。

1958年に誕生した同社の名器EXPLORER。 最初期は希少材であるコリーナを使用し、オリジナルは生産数も少なかったことから 今では数百万を超える価格となっています。
入荷した個体は2018年製。EXPLORERの誕生からちょうど60周年の年に制作されたスペシャルな1本となっています。

ボディー、ネックには良質なマホガニーを使用。指板材にはローズウッドをチョイスしています。
ネックシェイプは50年代らしいファット･ネックとなっています。

フィニッシュはVOSやAgedではなく"Heavy Aged" ボディーからネックまで、長年酷使されてきたかのようなルックスへ仕立てられており、更に付属のハードケースにもエイジング加工が施された拘りのモデルでございます。

ピックアップがフロント/リア共にSeymour Duncan製SH-1(59)に変更されています。 演奏コンディションはとても良好で即戦力としてお使いいただけます。

チェリーカラーは生産数も少なく大変貴重な1本。歴史的名器の60周年を記念したスペシャルなギターです。
