V-Class bracing is Taylor's revolutionary new sonic engine. Created by master builder Andy Powers, the V-Class bracing construction dramatically improves volume and sustain control compared to guitars with traditional X-bracing construction.

Taylor's top-of-the-line 900 Series guitars are Taylor masterpieces, constructed entirely from carefully selected woods. Indian Rosewood veneers are used for the sides and back, and Sitka Spruce is used for the top. The Indian Rosewood gives the instrument a tight, deep, and sweet tone in the lower register. The new V-Class bracing gives the impression of increased warmth and voluptuousness.

The Ebony armrests, contrasting edge trim in Koa and Paua Avalon, Gotoh 510 tuners, and ultra-thin gloss finish for optimum resonance, all add to the high-class beauty and stress-free playability of the instrument.

The pickup system uses the ES-2. Unlike conventional under-saddle piezo pickups, the ES-2 is a revolutionary system with three independent sensors behind the saddle.
The ES-2 is equipped with three independent sensors behind the saddle, which allows the ES-2 to produce a sound that fully incorporates the characteristics of the wood and is distinctly different from the conventional "piezo-like" sound. The body side has volume, treble, and bass controls, so you can easily make up the sound at your fingertips.
