USED Epiphone / Newport Bass Natural [1970's / Made in Japan]

This is a 1970's made in Japan (Matsumoku) Newport bass by Epiphone.

Thin maple body with unique double cutaway shape, through-neck construction, 2 pickups with 2Vol/2Tone/3Way selector, and an OUTPUT jack between controls on the pickguard.

The bridge cover is missing, and the overall appearance shows signs of use (bent pegs, color burn, scratches around the head, multiple dents around the body, scuffs and play marks, picking marks, noticeable buckle marks, cloudy/bitz/rust on metal parts and screws, and other exterior damage).

The fretboard has been set up (cleaning, string replacement, rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret adjustment) upon arrival, the fret board is high enough to play (still able to withstand cutting, but the frets are low), and the truss rod is adjustable to ±60° in both tightening and loosening directions. The truss rod is adjustable in both tightening and loosening directions, and its operation has been confirmed to be ±60°. Due to its construction, the string height only drops to approximately 3.5mm above the 12th fret on the 4th string side/ 3.4mm above the 12th fret on the 1st string side, even when the bridge piece is fully lowered. * Not covered by warranty.
