Texan is a round-shouldered acoustic guitar created in 1958, succeeding the model F.T.79.

It was produced until around 1970, and has since been reissued in Limited and other formats. The original TEXAN was used and loved by famous musicians such as Paul McCartney, Peter Frampton, and Noel Gallagher. It is especially famous that Paul McCartney used a 1964 TEXAN when he produced "Yesterday" by The Beatles, and it has been used on stage since then.

This model is based on the 1964 TEXAN and has been reissued as an electric acoustic with a Shadow PU system. The SIDE is made of plywood mahogany.

Some signs of use (bubble marks on the body top paint, picking marks on the pickguard film, fogging/bitz on metal parts and screws, etc.).

The fret board has been set up (cleaning, string replacement, rod adjustment) upon arrival, and the fret board is currently low but high enough to play well. The truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen up to ±60°, and its operation has been confirmed.

TexanはモデルF.T.79を受け継ぎ、1958年に誕生したラウンドショルダーのアコースティックギターです。

1970年ごろまで生産され、その後はLimitedなどで復刻されてきました。オリジナルTEXANは、Paul McCartney、Peter Frampton、NoelGallagherなど著名ミュージシャンに使用され愛されてきました。中でもPaul McCartneyが、TheBeatlesの「Yesterday」を製作したときに1964年製TEXANが使用されたことはあまりにも有名な話で、その後もステージなどで愛用されております。

本モデルは、1964年製TEXANを基調とし復刻されたもので、Shadow製PUシステムを搭載したエレアコ仕様になっております。BODYのTOP/BACKはソリッドで、TOPにスプルース、BACKにマホガニーを採用しております。SIDEには合板マホガニーを使用。

若干の使用感(製造時からと思われるボディトップ塗装気泡痕、ピックガードフィルムにピッキング痕、金属パーツやネジ類の曇り/ビッツ、等々の外観ダメージ)が見られます。

入荷時にセットアップ(クリーニング・弦交換・ロッド調整)済み、フレット山は現状低めながらも演奏に問題ない高さがあり、トラスロッドは締める方向・緩める方向調整可能で±60°まで動作確認済みです。
