The ES-135 is thinner than the 175 and has a center block all the way to the end of the body, making it sound different from the 335 and 175.
The body is made of 3pcs maple. The center block is made of chromite to reduce weight while maintaining the core of the sound. The neck is made of maple for rigidity and a tight sound not found in mahogany, and a P-100 PU is mounted for a stacked P-90 sound with roundness and low noise.

The body has wipe scratches, scuffs, line scratches, and dings. The pickguard has picking scratches with an overall finely clouded look. There is a small amount of paint deterioration near the tip of the F-hole on the left side of the body top bridge. Similarly, there are some fingertip-like paint deterioration spots on the left side of the tailpiece. Scratches, line scratches, and small dents are scattered around the outer circumference of the body top. There are dents, scratches, and line scratches mainly on the lower part of the body side. There is a paint crack at the body back neck joint, and a thin, fine buckle scratch in the center of the body back. There is also a line scratch on the left neckline of the body back, and there is a thin layer of paint reaction on the right neckline where it touched the body. The back of the neck has toe scratches, and there are scratches on the heel area from the stand. The head has a scratch on the tip of the head, and the top of the head has some age-related clear lift around each peg and a scratch from the tip of the string. 4 string peg is slightly bent, but there are no tuning problems. All hardware has a little bit of wear and tear, but is in good working order.

The neck is in good condition. The truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned to tighten and adjust. There are no string marks on the frets and about 80% of the strings are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 6th string (12F) and about 1.5mm on the 1st string (12F).

Overall, there are some signs of use and aging commensurate with its age, but nothing unnatural, and it is honestly cool. The large center block and maple neck give it a solid attack, and while the sound is moderately angular from the P-100, the maple neck adds a "stiff" nuance that gives it a bluesy sound not found on other ES models. The appearance is also bluesy like the sound, with no neck binding and simple head logo. This is an original model not found in vintage models, but its cool looks and sound will surely attract many roots players!
