Rare 1967 Olympic White Coronado II in stock!

Thin-bodied hollowbody with bolt-on neck, 2PU spec Coronado II with Dialmond design single coil PU, this is not the optional tremolo version, and the coloring is the rare "Olympic White", a custom color at that time!

Maple body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 25.5" scale, nut width is about 41.5mm, frets appear to be original, pots and other electrical components also appear to be original, pot date has white powder due to age and is currently unreadable. The neck date is "19OCT67B" and we judge it was made in 1967 together with the serial number.
There is a 4.5cm long crack on the binding at the top of the neck joint on the 6th string side. There are also small paint cracks on both sides of the neck joint body. The neck binding has some overspray on the back of the neck. The black plastic cushions under both PUs are deteriorated, peeling, sticking, and disintegrating, but do not worry about them as they are currently fine for appearance and use and do not need to be removed very often. The adjusting screw has been replaced with a slightly longer one, and the other screws have probably been replaced as well. Also, one of the neck joint screws has been changed.

The neck condition is generally fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned in the direction to tighten and adjust. There are no string marks on the frets, but there is about 40-50% remaining, so it does not have a modern feel, but it is not a problem for vintage players.

Overall, there is overspray on the back of the neck, and the binding and PU cushion are deteriorated, which is common, but the appearance is good at a glance, and the frets are low but playability is maintained. The sound is a maple neck, full hollow, with a unique edge and flexible firmness, combined with the fact that it is a Fender with a Diarmond PU, which gives it a special character that is not found on the high street. It is not a great sounding guitar, but with its mid-century looks, it will be your precious buddy when you get into it. It is also only available in a coloring that is hard to find, so it will fill one piece of your collection!
