Sugi Guitars is a renowned Japanese high-end brand, and now in stock is the NIGHT BREEZE 5, a 5-string bass!
The body top is made of quilted maple and the body back is made of 30-year-old Honduran mahogany selected as 1P. Hard rock maple/walnut 5P neck with ebony fingerboard. Nut width is about 43mm in actual measurement. Two Sugi original single coil pickups are equipped on this passive version.
The control panel is marked with the signature of the circuit modification done by the manufacturer, and the pickups have been changed from powered type to normal power, and the controls have been changed from volume + PU balancer to 2 volume.

The strap pins have been replaced with locking type. The head has some minor scratches and the paint is peeling at the tip. The neck has no noticeable scratches and has good playability. The body shows signs of use with scratches and minor dings mainly on the side backs.
The previous owner may have used it a bit, but the playability and sound are excellent!

Neck condition is currently fine.
The truss rod has been checked about 50 degrees toward the tightening direction.
About 70-80% frets remaining.
String height on 12F: 1st string: approx. 2.mm, 5th string: approx. 2.5 mm

国産ハイエンドブランドとして名高い「Sugi Guitars」、今回入荷したのは5弦ベースの「NIGHT BREEZE 5」となります！
ボディトップにはキルテッドメイプル、ボディバックには30年物のホンジュラス・マホガニーを1Pでセレクト。ハードロックメイプル/ウォルナットの5Pネックにエボニー指板仕様となっています。ナット幅は実測にて約43mm程となっています。ピックアップにはSugiオリジナルのシングルコイルピックアップを2基搭載したパッシブ仕様。
コントロールパネルにメーカーによってサーキットのMODが行われたサインが記されており、ピックアップをパワードタイプからノーマルパワーへ変更、コントロールをボリューム+PUバランサーから2ボリュームへの変更が行われています。

ストラップピンがロックタイプへと交換されています。ヘッドには細かい傷の他、先端部に塗装剥がれ箇所が見られます。ネックには目立った傷はなく、プレイアビリティも良好です。ボディにはサイドバックを中心に、全体に傷や細かい打痕の使用感が見られます。
前オーナーもそこそこに使用していたと思われる並程度のコンディションですが、プレイアビリティ&サウンドは流石と言いたくなる1本です！
