1993 Custom Shop made, 54 Strat in stock!

This 54ST is a reproduction of the first year of the Strat. body is ash with 2pcs center. Neck joint cavity has red Custom Shop stamp and date. Bird's eye maple neck with triangle shape. The frets have been replaced with medium jumbo size. The fretboard surface is 9.5" R, which is typical of the Custom Shop finish. The fingerboard surface was refinished when the frets were replaced, and the head top and back were overcoated. The PU has been replaced, and the details are unknown, but the DC resistance from the neck side is about 6.3k, 6.0k, and 6.3k. The center PU is not RWRP specification, and each pole piece is slightly chamfered. The inside of the cavity is coated with original conductive paint. The selector is 5-way and has been replaced with a recent one, and each pot has also been replaced with a recent one. The nut has been replaced with a task type, string retainer, first string saddle, and each saddle's imo screws have also been replaced. The knobs have also been replaced.

There are scratches, scuffs, line scratches, and dents on the body. The pickguard has a cloudy picking scratch on the side of each PU. There is a very small ding on the left side of the body top front PU. There is a toe ding on the top of the body by the jack, and a scratch on the bottom of the jack from the end of the arm. There is a line scratch on the back of the neck at the center of the 2nd floor, but there is no rattle. There is a small scratch on the tip of the head. There is a small pea-sized scratch on the 6th string side of the 3rd floor fingerboard. All hardware is in good condition considering the age of the instrument.

The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned to tighten and adjust. There are no string marks on the frets and about 90% of the strings are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

The overall atmosphere is good, with no noticeable signs of aging or PU replacement, etc. PU replacement is considered a normal practice, as the PU itself was not highly regarded at the time. The neck area is solid, so it can still be played very well. The way the serial number is written and the atmosphere of the guitar looks like a vintage series, but this is not a problem for a custom store made guitar at that time. The certificate of authenticity is also included. It has an open sound like ash, which is comfortable both in clean and drive mode!

ストラトのファーストイヤーを再現した54ST。ボディはアッシュでセンター2pcs仕様。ネックジョイントキャビティには赤いカスタムショップのスタンプとデイトが確認できます。ネックはこの時期らしくバーズアイメイプルで、トライアングルシェイプ。フレットはミディアムジャンボサイズに交換されております。指板面は9.5インチRでカスタムショップらしい仕上がり。指板面はフレット交換の際にリフィニッシュされており、ヘッドトップと裏はオーバーコートしてます。またネック全体を粗めのサンドペーパーを当てており、そのカラーも少しブラウン気味でアンティークな雰囲気にしたかったのでしょう。PUは交換されており、詳細は不明ですがネック側から直流抵抗値は約6.3k、約6.0k、約6.3kとなっております。センターPUはRWRP仕様ではなく、各ポールピースは少し面取りされております。キャビティ内にはオリジナルで導電塗料が施されております。セレクターは5wayで最近のものに交換され各ポットも近年のものに交換されており、キャパシターもセラミックタイプとなっております。ナットはタスクタイプに交換、ストリングリテイナー、1弦サドル、各サドルのイモネジも交換されております。また各ノブも交換されております。

ボディには拭きキズ、スリキズ、線キズ、打痕があります。ピックガードには各PU脇に曇った感じでピッキングキズがあります。ボディトップフロントPU左脇にほんの小さな打痕があります。ボディトップジャック脇に爪先状の打痕があり、その下部にはアーム先端でついたスリキズがあります。1弦側ホーン外側先端付近に小さな線キズがあり、ボディサイド右下部分には薄っすらと線キズがあります。ネック裏2F中心部分には線キズはあるもののガタツキはありません。ヘッド先端部分には小さな当てキズがあります。指板面3F6弦側に薄っすらと豆粒大の当てキズがあります。各ハードウェアにはクスミや少し使用感はあるものの年式を考えると良好な状態です。

ネックコンディションは問題なく、トラスロッドは締める方向緩める方向に調整可能で、締める方向にまだまだ回せ調整可能です。フレットには弦跡等は無く残りは9割程です。現状弦高は12F6弦側で約2.0mm、1弦側で約1.5mmで調整されております。

全体的には、エイジング加工やPU交換等ありますが目立つ使用感はなく全体の雰囲気は良いですよ!PU交換は当時のPU自体が評価が高いと言う訳でもないので、当たり前の行為と考えます。またネック周りはしっかりしているのでまだまだバリバリ弾けます。シリアルナンバーの打ち方や雰囲気は当時のヴィンテージシリーズっぽく見えますが当時のカスタムショップ製はこのような感じで問題ありません。また認定証も付属しております。アッシュらしいオープンな鳴りでクリーンでもドライブでも心地よいサウンドですよ!
