This is an all veneer, USA-made model designed by a Japanese distributor based on a model ordered by a major store in the USA.
The top is made of Sitka spruce, and the sides and back are made of East Indian rosewood.
The top bracing is non-scalloped, but the taper is quite deep, so the A-frame type can be expected to have the same effect as scalloped bracing.
Only the top is wrapped with tortice-type binding, and the back is unbound, so you can see that it is veneer from the cross section, which is also a nice point.
The sound of the D-28, for example, is "the sound will improve as you play it more and more", whereas the D-1R is "dry and easy to handle from the beginning, and it is easy to use as an electric acoustic guitar".
It can be said to be an all veneer version of the D-1R, or a non-gloss/rosewood version of the D-16GT.

The condition of the instrument gives the impression that it has not been used much, and there are some scratches on the corners due to the lack of back binding (I guess binding is very important), but the back of the neck is clean with minor shine.
The saddle has been replaced and is high enough for an ideal setting.
A strap pin has been added to the heel of the neck.
Spec sheet included, non-genuine semi-hard case included (zipper knob has been removed).

Truss rod: room to tighten/loosen direction.
Fret: about 70%-80%.

USA本国大手ショップオーダーモデルに準えて国内代理店が企画したオール単板、USA製モデル。
シトカ・スプルースTop、イーストインディアン・ローズウッドSide＆BackというD-28に寄せたスペックながら、装飾をシンプルにしサテン仕上げ、ボルトオン構造によりリーズナブルにリリースする事を実現しています。
Topブレーシングはノンスキャロップですがテーパーがかなり深く入っていますのでスキャロップドブレーすと同様の効果が期待できるAフレームタイプです。
トップにのみトーティスタイプバインディングを巻き、バックはノン・バインディングなので、断面から単板である事を見れるのもある意味嬉しいポイント。
サウンドは、たとえばD-28なら「弾き込めばドンドン音が良くなっていきますよ」というものに対して「初めから抜けが良くドライ、扱い易くエレアコ化するのも使いやすそう」という印象です。
D-1Rのオール単板とも言え、D-16GTのノングロス/ローズウッドバージョンとも言える立ち位置です。

コンディションは、さほど使われていない印象で、バックバインディングが無い分角に当て傷コツ傷が点在しますが(やはりバインディングって大事なんですね)ネック裏のテカリも軽微で綺麗な部類です。
サドルが交換されており十分な高さがありますので理想的なセッティングです。
ネックヒールにストラップピンが増設されています。
スペックシート同梱、非純正セミハードケース付属(ファスナーつまみが取れています)。
