This is a Jaguar "JG66-85" made of alder wood from the Fender Japan era.
The current model uses basswood, so the type using alder wood is becoming popular again in recent years.
This is a masterpiece model from the '60s that made the Fender electric sound resonate throughout the world. Unlike Stratos and Jazzmasters, it has less roughness and sustain extension, and has a chiming attack sound, but depending on the tone settings, it can also produce a clear tone that rivals Stratos.
It has a unique control system with two single coil pickups, a 22-fret short scale neck, a floating tremolo unit, slide switch control, and a pickup with a metal plate called a yoke.
It is a unique piece in both looks and sound.
Since this model was originally released as a higher-end Jazzmaster model, it has high potential and also shows the high quality that seems to be made in Japan.

* After our arrival, it has been cleaned, overall adjusted, and fretted, so it is in good playing condition.
Arm is missing. There are scratches, dents, etc. overall, and there are dents with paint chips on the head and neck joint.

現行はバスウッドを使用しているので、アルダー材を使用したタイプは近年また人気になりつつあります。
フェンダーエレクトリックサウンドを全世界に響き渡させた'60年代の傑作モデル。ストラトやジャズマスターと違い、荒っぽさやサスティーンの伸びが少なく、チャキチャキとしたアタック音が特徴ですが、音色の設定次第ではストラトに引けを取らないクリアな音色も出せるエレキでもあります。
独特のコントロールシステムを持ち、2シングルコイルピックアップ、22フレットショートスケールのネック、FLOTING TREMOLOユニット、スライドスイッチによるコントロール、ヨークと呼ばれる金属板のついたピックアップ。
ルックスもサウンドも個性な1本です。
元々、ジャズマスターの上位機種として発売されたモデルでもありますので、そのポテンシャルは高く、また日本製らしい質の高さが伺えます。

アーム欠品。全体的にキズや打痕等があり、ヘッド部とネックジョイント部に塗装欠けを伴う打痕がございます。
