Long sustain, rich resonance, and high rigidity with through-neck construction.
5pc neck made of maple and hard walnut for clear sound image and attack. The rigidity is reinforced by graphite rods installed inside the neck.
The through-neck construction provides long sustain and rich resonance, and the seamless feel of the neck back across the entire fret range is one of the BTB bass's most distinctive features.

5-string side: 37"~1-string side: extra long multi-scale
The scale of the low B string (5th string) is set at 37", which gives the low strings more tension than the standard BTB model, and this gives the bass more clarity and core when tuned down.
The multi-scale is the most extreme fan shape of all Ibanez basses, which is especially beneficial for technical fingering in the high fret range. (Note: Requires skill and familiarity and is not universal to all players and playing styles.)

-Winged body made of ocoume wood
The winged body, which sandwiches the neck, is made of okoume wood, which is characterized by its warm tone and rich mid-low range characteristics.
The deep cutaway style of the body contributes to the ease of playing in the high position, and the horn shape was designed for good balance when played standing up.

-Ibanez T1 pickups
This is a humbucker with two original separate coils, designed for a sound with tight response in the bass register, punchy midrange, and clear treble. The rounded cover edges designed for easy finger placement and
The two pickups are slightly offset so that the ends of each pickup are almost parallel to the strings, providing a high degree of playability not found in other multi-scale models.

MR5S (monorail) bridge with string-to-string pitch adjustment mechanism
The MR5S (monorail) bridge with string-to-string pitch adjustment transmits string vibrations directly to the body. The saddle can be moved 1.5mm to the left and right.
The saddle moves 1.5mm to the left and right, allowing the pitch between the strings to be set freely within a certain range.
